U.S Election

In The Name of God  Dear Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, We felicitate holding the first summit of ECO member states’ National Libraries, as and auspicious move to re-familiarize and expand the region’s culture and civilization. Herewith, I do commend sincerely valuable attempts of those, who have been involved or attended the current event. ECO member states, apart from geographical borders, political and economic systems, own common culture, thanks to their achievements and historical heritage, gained throughout thousands of years. A culture to which human being’s current progress in different scientific and industrial spheres is indebted. Such common culture is entitled to vast potentials to link various nations, and produce a new opportunity to develop ECO region in different areas and assume its remarkable role to breathe new life into human civilizations across the Globe. Looking upon such an objective, scientific, cultural centers, particularly National Libraries as scientific and cultural memories of the nations have a great role to play. In the bed of time, and through experiencing good and bad events, they succeeded to maintain precious scientific and cultural heritage of their nations and provide a chance for the next generations to have access to them. New situation in the World and National, regional interests of the ECO states require that National Libraries to get together and collaborate in different areas of documentation or librarianship in order to provide with an opportunity for the researchers to utilize current cultural treasures. The Islamic Republic of Iran wishes to see tight link between hearts and minds of the ECO member states to revive their enormous role in revolutionizing their civilizations.  Mahmud AhmadinejadPresident of the Islamic Republic of Iran  متن پيام رئيس جمهور روساي محترم كتابخانه هاي ملي كشورهاي عضوسازمان همكاري اقتصادي ( اكو ) ميهمانان عزيز جمهوري اسلامي ايران خانم ها آقايان    برگزاري نخستين اجلاس رؤساي كتابخانه هاي ملي كشورهاي عضو همكاري اقتصادي ( اكو ) را به عنوان اقدامي مبارك در بازشناسي فرهنگ و تمدن اين منطقه و راه هاي گسترش آن تبريك مي گويم و از تلاش هاي ارزنده دست اندركاران برگزاري و شركت كنندگان در اين اجلاس صميمانه سپاسگزاري مي كنم. كشورهاي عضو اكو، جداي از مرزهاي جغرافيايي و نظام هايث سياسي و اقتصادي ، داراي فرهنگ مشتركي هستند كه دستآورد و ميراث تاريخ چندين هزار ساله آنهاست. فرهنگي كه پيشرفت امروز بشريت در عرصه هاي نخالف علمي و صنعتي ريشه در اعماق آن دارد. همين فرعهنگ مشترك، ظرفيت دارد كه با پيوند عميق بين ملت ها، فرصتي جديد را براي توسعه همه جانبه منطقه اكو و بازآفريني نقش تمدن ساز خويش در عرصه جهاني به وجود آورد. در اين راستا مراكز علمي و فرهنگي به ويژه كتابخانه هاي ملي به عنوان حافظه علمي و فرهنگي ملت ها نقش ويژه و ممتازي دارند. آنها توانسته اند در طول تاريخ با گذر از رخدادهاي تلخ و شيرين كشورشان ميراث ارزشمند علمي و فرهنگي ملت خود را حفظ كنند و در امتداد خط پيشرفت در اختيار نسل هاي جديد قرار دهند. شرايط جديد جهاني و اقتضائات ملي و منطقه اي ايجاب مي كند، كتابخانه هاي ملي كشورهاي عضو اكو دست در دست هم دهند تا با همكاري در زمينه هاي مختلف كتابداري فرصا يهره برداري پژوهشگران از ميراث موجود در گنجينه هاي يكديگر را ايجاد كنند. اميدوارم برگزاري اين اجلاس موجب پيوند هر چه محكم تر قلوب و انديشه هاي ملت هاي عضو اكو در راه احياي نقش تمدن ساز اين منطقه شود.   محمود احمدي نژاد  رئيس جمهوري اسلامي ايران www.mahinnews.tkwww.mahinnews.coo.ir
